What were the countries that were allied by the triple alliance?
Austria-Hungary, Germany and Italy. The Triple Alliance included Germany, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Italy. It was created in 1882 under a treaty for mutual defense in which each of the three countries agreed to join forces if any one of them was attacked by another country (the greatest concern was an attack by France or Russia). In 1907 Britain, France and Russia created the Triple Entente to oppose the Triple Alliance if war occurred.. When Germany and Austria-Hungary began World War I, Italy refused to join them because they had been the attackers, not the attacked. On the other side, the three members of the Triple Entente were the most significant members of the Allied forces until the U.S. joined their side in 1917.
A force that opposes motion is?
Inertia is a property of matter that makes it harder to move, so that is probably what you are thinking of, but technically, forces do not oppose motion. Depending upon the direction in which a force is applied, one force can oppose another force that is acting in an opposite direction, but forces are not opposed to motion as such.

Asked in History of Russia, Vladimir Lenin, Communism
Did Lenin favor or oppose war communism?
Lenin favored it, because he instituted it right after the October Revolution. War communism did not impose full socialism or communism on all aspects of Russia's economy. The Bolsheviks were simply too weak in numbers to immediately govern the entire economy of Russia with its millions of peasant farmers. Nor were they able to take full control of all the factories and other industry in the country. When the Russian Civil War broke out, the Bolsheviks were even less able to handle the economic demands of fighting the war. For this reason, war communism was instituted by Lenin in order to enable the Bolsheviks to survive the Civil War in power. War communism was later scrapped in favor of Lenin's New Economic Policy.

When a pair of balanced forces acts on an object what happen to the net force?
If the forces oppose each other then nothing will happen, if the forces are acting in the same direction then they would actually be one force, equal to the sum of the two forces, if the forces are oblique then more advanced vectors would come into play... the ones that i know well enough to use but not teach.
Asked in World War 2, World War 1
Why was the Rhineland such an important region of Germany?
The Rhineland, that is the area of Germany between the Rhine river & the Holland, Belgium, French border was designated to be occupied by allied forces after WW1. They were supposed to be there until 1935 but were withdrawn in 1930. It was to be a demilitarised buffer zone. General Guderian was quoted after the war (WW2) that Germany would have been powerless to oppose an allied intervention when Hitler marched a couple of divisions in, & the likelyhood would have been the removal of Hitler as chancellor at that time ! Hindsight is such a wonderful attribute !
