Palestinians believe that the land of palestine belongs to them because their ancestors lived in the area, building cities and cultivating the land for hundreds and hundreds of years. They believe that they own this land just as anyone else who buys something or builds something owns the fruit of their labor. Because most Arabs are not Jewish, they do not accept the promise from God to his 'chosen people' as a legitimate reason for their property to be taken away.
