he was not content with the Caste System and discrimination caused by it. he also did not like the idea of worshipping idols when there are people suffering and they need help. this caused him to leave Hinduism.
he left the palace because he wanted to explore the outside world but his father didn't want that his father wanted to teach him about being king , he wouldn't listen he would always spend his time out side looking at nature and meditating.
after when Siddhartha was old enough he decided to leave the palace and see the real world . whilst he was in his journey he saw a sick man , an old man,and dead man and a poor man , when Siddhartha saw this he was shocked he diddnt know that the palace was protecting from these things .
The Buddha was in the palace?
A prince named Siddhartha Gautama made a decision to leave.
As it turns out, where and why are irrelevant.
Based on legend, the prince had seen the inside of the palace; not so much that which the king was "protecting" him from outside. Curiosity killed the prince.
But a path to follow that leads to the acceptance of suffering was born.
Where is your birthday cake? Don't say in the palace. Bring a fork.
Because he wanted to learn what causes suffering and how to escape it.
He was unsatisfied with his life of luxury, and wanted to find an answer to man's suffering.
He wanted to find an answer to human suffering.
He left because he wanted to gain knowledge. Now a days... we won't do it.. but just saying...
He was enlightened :)
