The Japanese needed oil during World War II because they didn't have enough of it. Oil is not an abundant resource in Japan. One of the reasons the Japanese wanted to attack the United States was because they were in desperate need of oil. Without oil, their planes, warships, and vehicles would be useless.
Because Germany was having a severe oil shortage during the end of WWII. Doing a project on WWII, eh? So am I.
There are to few historical fancts in your speach.
The Russian battleships during the Battle of Tsushima in 1905 burned coal. The battleships of WWI & WWII burned oil.
The US had and Embargo Act where the Us didn't give the japanese oil which was vital to the japanese.
Now, I assume you mean why the Japanese were angry at the Americans during World War II? If so, it was because, at the turn of the 20th century, the Japanese faced rapid modernization and militarization. They had goals of conquering colonies to have a large empire like what the Western world was doing. Because Japan is an island nation, its resources are limited. Prior to WWII, the Japanese needed sufficient fuel for their warships, planes, and transportation, as well as oil and steel. To solve this problem, the Japanese wanted to attack the United States in order to acquire ample resources. This eventually led to the attack on Pearl Harbor and the U.S. entering WWII.
we would all die.....
the Japanese bombed the US because of the ban that was placed to restrict us from selling them oil.
to say oil in Japanese is 石油 and it is read like sekiyu hope this helps :)
Yes, fuel was in very short supply for Japan's military & civilian sectors the entire war. By 1944, Japanese ships were stationed closer to the supplies of oil in the Dutch East Indies & British Malaya. The Japanese Navy began using unrefined oil instead of refined fuel oil for its ships. This caused mechanical problems for these ships, however the Japanese had to do this because of the shortage of fuel. The Japanese had a shortage of oil production & refining facilities, a shortage of oil tankers to move oil & fuel around, and a lack of understanding of modern military logistics.
because the Japanese bombed pearl harbor because they were in need of oil because the U.S halted oil trade with them in July of 1945.
Oil usually refers to petroleum lubricant. It is refined product of crude oil pumped from underground oil fields around the world. Synthetic oil is lubricant manufactured as a substitute for petroleum lubricant, it was first developed by Germany during WWII to make up their shortages in oil. Semi synthetic oil is a mixture of petroleum lubricant and syntetic lubricant.
