Why did the Jonas Brothers band change their band's name from Connect 3 to the Jonas Brothers?

∙ 14y agoThe Jonas brothers band was called Connect 3 only for the movie 'Camp Rock'. The Jonas Brothers never really had the name Connect 3 - just in the movie. They did change their name from Sons of Jonas to Jonas 3 then finally to Jonas Brothers, though. == ==

I agree with the answer above. Nick at first wanted the band to be called Jonas Jonas Jonas, but they are called the Jonas Brothers. Which is better.! haha.

∙ 14y agoWhen the Jackson 5 switched record labels from Motown to CBS Records, Motown sued for breach of contract. After finally allowing the group to leave, they were forced to change their name from "Jackson 5" to "The Jacksons" because Motown still had rights over the "Jackson 5" trademark after the settlement of the lawsuit.
