No one really knows exactly how the Maya disappeared, there are only theories. One explanation is that they all had to move out due to a drought. The Maya's disappearance is still quite mysterious up to present day.
No one is really sure why but it is known that the Spanish conquistadors came and conquered them and since the Maya were people that wanted peace they left and disappeared forever.
They are very smart. Indeed, if you think about it they were the smartest people on Earth. They Mayans never disappeared.
They didn't. The Spanish destroyed their empires but the Mayan, Aztec, and Inca peoples remain to this day.
The Mayans never disappeared: there are some 6 million people of the Mayan ethnic groups around today, mainly concentrated around the Yucatan region of Mexico, Belize, Honduras and Guatemala.
Historians believe that a combination of factors, such as environmental degradation, warfare, political instability, and Spanish colonization, contributed to the decline of the Maya civilization. However, it's important to note that the Maya did not completely disappear; many descendants of the ancient Maya still live in the region today.
No. Of course the Maya didn't have cars! Cars were invented by Henry Ford, in Detroit, which was settled much after the Mayan civilization disappeared.
The Maya civilization did not completely disappear; rather, it underwent significant transformations over time. While many Southern cities declined around the 9th century due to factors like environmental changes and warfare, the Maya culture persisted in various forms. Today, millions of descendants of the Maya still inhabit parts of Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, and Honduras, maintaining their languages, traditions, and cultural practices.
Maya came before the Aztecs. Then disappeared. Aztecs were destroyed by the Spaniards. Looked for eagle on cactus, they were more violent, did more sacrifices.
The Mayas (not Mayans) lived and still live today in the Yucatan peninsula of southern Mexico, in Guatemala, in Honduras, El Salvador and Belize. The pre-classic period of Maya history began around 1100 BC, the classic Maya period began in around 250 AD and Maya civilisation ended around 1519 with the Spanish conquest. The Maya culture disappeared but the people did not.
Our Disappeared was created in 2008.
The Maya died out because the Spanish Conquistadores invaded their land and stole all their gold, they also invaded the Aztec civilization and the Incas, starting from the Mexico peninsula-ish and working their way up towards the coast of Peru and then inland, chasing the Inca into the mountains where theyre numbers grew too few and they died away.
