Jesus wasn't "captured," by anyone. The use of the word 'capture' implies Jesus was some kind of fugitive from the law... which He wasn't. The ad hoc militia that arrested Him was sent by the religious leaders of the Temple. They knew where He was. They paid for the information. Jesus was subsequently handed over to the Romans early the next morning. The Romans did nothing to gain control and jurisdiction over Him. Temple authorities handed him over "on a silver platter."
Jesus was captured by the Romans all due to the Pharisees or th priests and teachers of the law. The Pharisees said Jesus was Beelzebub and a liar. Because they refused to belive Jesus when he said he was the son of God. They thought that he was able to perform all those miracles and drive out demons because of Beelzebub. But Jesus´knowledge and teachings always left the Pharisees silent and humiliated by his wisdom. So the Pharises said that whoever followed Jesus was agaisnt God. So they planned a way on how to kill Jesus´ and find fault against him. But Jesus had no fault since he was sinless, and he already knew their plan to kill him. When Jesus went to pray on the Mount of Olives,Judas ( one of his disciples who betrayed him by negociating with the Pharisees that he would show them where to arrest Jesus in exchange for money), Judas went to greet Jesus with a kiss, and the Romans with orders to arrest Jesus by the Pharisees, they grabbed Jesus and took him away to be judged by the roman governor Pilate. The priests and teachers of the law made up all kinds of lies about Jesus so that Pilate would find fault in him and crucify him. But Pilate could not find any fault against him and denied the priests their petition. Outraged the priests had to go see king Herod, but herod denied tem as well, which brought them back to Pilate. All the people became outraged and demanded Pilate to crucify Jesus, so Pilate had to give in and granted the Priests pettition and Jesus was crucified. But he recucitated on the third day.
