If you're referring to the theatrical live action films, twice. First time in Superman:the movie, which is his origin story. You actually see krypton for almost half an hour in the film, with Marlon Brando as Jor-el. There's a small flashback in Superman 2, but it's just the same as what you saw in Superman 1. And then it's referenced as a plot point in Superman Returns, as Superman disappears to investigate the remain of Krypton. From what I've heard, they actually filmed scenes of a dead Krypton, and then cut the whole sequence out of the final cut. Some stills are available online if you search hard enough.
