Cuban Missile Crisis
the Cuban Missile Crisis affected Cuba because after the U.S. blockaded Cuba and prevented Cuba from receiving or giving trade goods, the economy dwindled until it got to the point that Cuba couldn't afford launching the missile that the soviet union gave them.
It was a war or propaganda and secrets. It was not a direct confrontation. The closest it got to war was the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Nuclear War did NOT start in 1962. If it had we wouldn't be here and this web site wouldn't exist. We got very close to it with the Cuban Missile Crisis, but it didn't happen.
Cuba in the Cold WarFollowing a revolution in 1959 Cuba adopted Communism, being the only state in the Americas to have a do so, or at least to have a Communist government that lasted. (In fact, it's still in office in 2006). An attempted invasion from the US ('Bay of Pigs' [and no it was not a bay full of floating pigs :^P]) was a fiasco and in 1962 Khrushchev tried to station long-range missiles on the island. This attempt led to the 'Cuban missile crisis' of 1962. When this began, the U.S. sent Fidel Castro a letter stating that the U.S. will remove their missiles from Turkey if Cuba remove theirs. Castro agreed to this and did so, marking an end to the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The Bay of Pigs Invasion (known as La Batalla de Girón, or Playa Girón in Cuba), was an unsuccessful attempt by a CIA-trained force of Cuban exiles to invade southern Cuba with support from US government armed forces, to overthrow the Cuban government of Fidel Castro. The Invasion was launched April 17, 1961. (Wikipedia) The Cuban Missile Crisis was a confrontation between the United States, the Soviet Union, and Cuba in October 1962, during the Cold War. It was an effort of the United states to prevent Russia from delivering missiles to Cuba, which would be a direct threat to the national security of the United States.
wat kind of a question is that ur a gimp and its obvious som1 had an orgasm
The Cold War is a reference to something else, not literally cold, but because no shots were ever fired. The Cold War was a race to the moon, and to who could make the most nuclear weapons fastest. Hope I helped.
Fidel Castro was the communist leader of Cuba during the Cold War. He rebelled against American control over his country and instead turned to the USSR. Castro allowed the Soviets to place missile bases in Cuba with which they could destroy the whole of the USA in under an hour. The Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest the world had ever got to a nuclear war which would have destroyed the world.
A military coup originally but the trade ban on Cuba is a direct result of the Cuban missile crisis witch was basically a miniature cold war we ditched Cuba they didn't bother us any more and the only people who got really agitated were the Cuban cigar smokers.
The Cuban missile crisis. Germany sent a telegram to Cuba saying that they will send U-boats to sink USA. ships. Then the Cubans could get the supplies for their missiles with out any interruption from the USA. but this telegram was intercepted by the USA. before it got to Cuba. This telegram was called the Zimmerman telegram.
During the Cold War the Soviet Union under the leadership of Nikita Kruschev placed missiles in Cuba, and island that is 90 miles from the Southern tip of Florida. This became known as the Cuban Missile Crisis, it was the closest the World ever got to Nuclear War between the World's two main Super Power's of the time.
