The US wanted Native Americans to live on reservations because the US took away their land they were like this and this is our land and the Native Americans somewhere to live so they gave them reservations were they could make their own laws
In Native Americans of the Plains did not want to live on reservations because they destroyed their way of life. Living on the reservations did not allow the freedom that they had when living on the Plains chasing the buffalo in a nomadic lifestyle.
They can live anywhere they want to. Many cannot afford to live elsewhere, have family that live there, etc. In Virginia, the Native Americans that live on the two small reservations pay no state taxes, and like that.
Send them to reservations
Iroquois peoples now can live and work wherever they want, although some do choose still to live in reservations set aside exclusively for Native Americans.
The Europeans didn't want to kill them all. The Spainish especially built missions to teach Native Americans Catholism, so the reservation would appeal to those friars. The Europeans were also taking control of their land and forced the Native Americans out naturally. Then they made a separate part of their land for them of course.
Because they are heartbroken and want to live alone in the Northeast
because Indians are people from India and it is completely different from native american
They made the mistake of thinking all people think alike and want what they want, regardless of the differences in cultures.
Colonist wanted the natives land
What I think you want to ask is: 'If Native Americanse were naked, how did they have any clothes to dye?' Most Native Americans did not live naked, sepecially in the colder parts such as Canada.
The pros would have only been for the Americans. Reservations were generally and purposely established in areas largely uninhabitable - lands the Americans did not want. The reservations were far away from lands the tribes grew up in, so they had no way to adapt to the land or its climate. Also they were often placed side by side with ages old enemies. The plus for the Americans was that it was a perfectly legal way to continue its planned genocide. The cons of the reservations were numerous. Aside from what was mentioned above, the reservations created an atmosphere of dependency upon the government. This again was to destroy the spirit of the American Indian.
i want to ask a question which is,what were the native americans called after they were baptized
