Most likely because the Lord hasn't inspired anyone to write a new book of The Bible.

Answer:

For one thing... the last book of the Bible completes the prophetic events that shall lead to Jesus Christ's return to earth with the Kingdom of God and the completion of God's plan ["...it is done..." - Rev.21:.6], and God's elect have all the necessary information revealed to them that they need for the time being.

Yet, for all that... who's to say that the Bible isn't still being written [spiritually recorded for the future]?

The apostles of Jesus "wrote their inspired words," as far as they were concerned, solely for the edification of those over whom God gave them charge. And they died not knowing anything about the "printing press"... or that their works would one day complete the Holy Scriptures we read today.

"Bind up the testimony, seal the law among My disciples." (Isa.8:16)

"...Neither pray I for these [disciples] alone, but for them also [you and I, today] which shall believe on Me through their word..." (John 17:20).

Most of the books of the New Testament end with an "amen"... denoting a "finality" to them. But, the "Acts of the Apostles" stops abruptly with no "finality."

This leads one to believe that the "Acts of God's elect" are "possibly" still being written [or recorded in some Divine way]... possibly to be added to the Word of God at another day in the future after the completion of God's present plan.

Certainly, the works of God's elect have continued beyond Paul's and the other apostles' deaths. History is filled with stories of those who died for the sake of Jesus' name to this very day... and shall continue until Jesus returns.

"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, WRITE, Blessed are the dead WHICH DIE IN THE LORD FROM HENCEFORTH: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and THEIR WORKS DO FOLLOW THEM." (Rev.14:13)

The work of Jesus Christ hasn't ceased since His ascension into heaven... and neither have the works of those whom God is "calling out of the world." There is really no reason to assume that God's Word has stopped being written.

It just doesn't need added to any more for the present task at hand: preaching the good news of God's coming Kingdom and salvation.

After all: "...there are so many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. AMEN." (John 21:25)
