Eureka happened when archemide discovered the principle of buoyancy.

Archimede was a famous greek mathmatician. The king summounded him to help him with a dilema. The king thought his crown maker was replacing the given gold with silver, and keeping the gold for himself. he asked archimede to compare his crown and a block of gold of the same mass and see wich was more dense.

It came to archimede while he was sitting in the bathtub. By placing an object in water the buoyont force displaces the water. The gold was more dense, therfore the buoyant force displaced more water than the crown. this means that the crown was less dense and the crown maker was depriving the king of his gold.

The story says that when archimede figured it out, he jumped out of the bathtub, and ran through the streets of Greece exclaiming "Eureka" wich means "i have found it".
