The pharaohs believed that they were gods; they also believed in many gods (except for Akhenaton, who was a monotheist).
How can someone claim that God does exist when he does not know everything there is to know to rule out the possibility of God's non-existence??
People who do not recognize the existence of god are know as Atheist, which is from the base word theist(One who believes in a god or greater entity). Buddhists also dont believe in a "god".
A God.
They believed that the Pharaoh was a god in human form.
It is true that the Pharaohs were believed to be the children of the sun god.
The pharaoh believed that he was the sun god's son.
Pharaohs were believed to be the living Horus.
If you are asking if the Hebrews were the first people to believe in the existence of one God, the answer is no.
God spoke into existence the universe
The pharaohs were considered a living god because they were know to be the reincarnation of Horus, the god of the sky.
There is no such person. An agnostic is a person who believes that it is impossible to know/or is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism. A Christian is a person who believes in the existence of God and has faith in God. So the phrase a 'Christian agnostic' has no meaning
There is no "statement that you are born knowing God." Simply, reason tells the human mind that there is Something/Someone Who is of greater intellect than we humans. We humans cannot create something from nothing. On the other hand, God can. Therefore, this thing, called natural reason, which every human possesses, tells us of God's existence. Yet, this means that though we know of God's existence, but we do not know God. Not unless we allow Him to speak to us and we ourselves search to find Him. So no one is born "knowing God," but through natural reason we know He exists. To deny His existence, no offense to all atheists, is really to deny the existence of everything around us.
