Each group was seeking a way to practice their own religion. The Pilgrims were 60 people from the same English village and planned to settle near Jamestown, but were blown off course. They wanted to leave England because they thought the Church of England had too much ritual and decorations,The Quakers were organized by William Penn who had gotten an land grant from the king to pay off a debt the king owed his father. Several times Penn had been arrested for his Quaker beliefs and was jailed. He had to leave England. Both groups were very much alike in the fact they wanted to practice in their own ways.

What was the colony for the prosecuted?

Many colonies were founded as places to exile criminals to, and were called penal colonies. For example, Sydney in New South Wales, Australia, was a penal colony. If you are referring to colonies for the persecuted, there were also many examples. Two would include Plymouth, Massachusetts for the Pilgrims, and Pennsylvania for the Quakers.
