You can find the seat wiring diagram for the Mark VIII in a Haynes repair manual. The book is available at book and auto parts stores.
Unplug the electrical connections and remove the 4 bolts.

In the doors and back seat panels 5X7 and of course the tweeters are seperate, I think like 2 inch.
I would bet the seat is causing the problem. Get it positioned properly and then unplug it so it will not draw power. Then replace the fure and see if it lasts. If it doesn't blow then the seat motor is the culprit.
Push in on each side of the seat cushion and it should unlatch and for the back you should see the bolts that hold it and once you remove the bolts push up on the backrest and it will come out.
