Po'pay's Revolt against Spanish Rule began prematurely on 10 August 1680 but by 15 August it had bottled up 1,000 Spaniards in the Governor's Palace and had it surrounded by 2,500 Pueblo warriors. On 21 August the Spaniards left the Palace and began the long march to El Paso. They made several attempts to return but the Pueblo army kept them out for 12 years. Po'pay died and the Spaniards returned. This time the enslavement of the Pueblos was forbidden and limited freedom of religion was granted. The Spaniards had lost 400 men including 21 of the 33 priests.
Pueblo Revolt happened on 21-08-10.
