Out of fear of the state of religion and morals in the western world, the Spanish government heavily censored humanistic works in the country. This meant that art very controlled and the outside influence on spanish art was drastically reduced.

The historical significance of the Renaissance is that it re-kindled a love for arts, which in turn led to the Enlightenment, where great thinkers realized that if they could have an impact on art, then they could have an impact on Government too.
Titian (1490-1676) was a student of Bellini. He is considered to be the great Venetian painter. He was a supreme colorist and this could have had an impact on the Renaissance. In Venetian painting there was a greater expression of nature, always inhabited by glowing figures. His work falls at the very end of the Italian Renaissance, so it is doubtful he had any impact on the likes of Michelangelo or Leonardo.
