We were an ally of Great Britain.
they supported us the British
The British people didn't have the persuasion that this war was really big to Great Britain leaving them no choice but to not support the war
Because at that time the British Government knew it was an unjustified war (Unlike the British Govt. that was foolish enough to support the US in Iraq)
The US was the only country in the world that came out of WWII with an improved standard of living. In effect the US had sucked the British Commonwealth of its wealth as the price of industrial support for the war effort.
The US fought the British in the American Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.
Russia offered support to the Union in the U.S. Civil War because Russia thought the United States was a good counterbalance to the British Empire.
The unruly Hessians cost the British the support of many areas that the British had hoped would remain loyalist

No, the British were not involved. The battle was between the US and the Shawnee Native American tribe. The Shawnee did pledge allegiance to Britain and entered an alliance with them when the US declared war. This is one of the reasons why the US attacked them. The British could not provide support in time.
They did support the British in both world wars, providing goods and soldiers to the British. Although "support" may be putting it a bit strongly: India was a colony governed by the British during both wars, and their soldiers were simply transferred to the various theatres of war by the British.
The british promised them better infustructure
In support of the War on Terror.
