If you read the first book of Narnia, The Magician's Nephew, you would find out that Jadis, the white witch, was from another land not in Narnia. The main characters go to that land and see that she destroyed it. Because her sister got the throne and not her. But when Polly and Digory, the main characters, went to Narnia, Jadis tagged along. And she wanted power over all of Narnia so she could finally be royal./ She wanted it for the wrong reason, and Aslan knew that. He was the true king of Narnia. He made it himself. But he still treated his people as if they were himself. Jadis treats everyone like servants. She wanted to be the highest of them all. and that is why she didn't have a claim to the throne.
The White Witch had no real claim to the throne of Narnia because her rule was based on fear and tyranny rather than legitimate succession. She seized power through deception and dark magic, making her rule unjust and illegitimate. As a result, she was seen as a usurper rather than a rightful ruler.
The White Witch appears in the new Narnia movie because there is a part, and I'm going to try hard not to spoil the movie, but there is a part when everyone on the crew of the Dawn Treader mustn't think of their worst nightmares because of this mist that sucks people in and they disappear forever and, to Edmund, that mist turned into the form of the White Witch, Edmund's fear.
There was a prophecy that stated when two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve sit on the thrones of Cair Paravel her reign, and her life, would come to an end. Two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve was in reference to two human males and two human females
Tilda Swinton played the White Witch in "The Chronicles of Narnia" film series.
In the book "The Chronicles of Narnia," the witch is called the White Witch or Jadis. She is a powerful and malevolent sorceress who rules over Narnia with an iron fist before being ultimately defeated by Aslan and the Pevensie children.
Her name was Jadis the White Witch.
Jadis of Charn, aka the White Witch.
Aslan
"The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" focuses on the Pevensie siblings' journey to Narnia to defeat the White Witch. In "Prince Caspian," the focus shifts to the return of the Pevensie siblings to Narnia to help Prince Caspian reclaim his throne. "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" introduces major characters like Aslan and the White Witch, while "Prince Caspian" introduces Prince Caspian and the Telmarines.
Her name is Jadis, but is known to most as the White Witch.
In the Narnia movie series, the character of the White Witch, who is the antagonist and queen of Narnia, was played by Tilda Swinton in "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" (2005) and Jadis (the White Witch) in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician's Nephew" (which hasn't been released yet).
The hag is a character in C.S. Lewis's "Prince Caspian." She is an evil witch who serves the White Witch and opposes Prince Caspian's rightful claim to the throne of Narnia. The hag represents the darker, more nefarious forces at play in the story.
The White Witch
The White Witch hates humans in Narnia because of a prophecy that says her power will be broken by a human. She seeks to dominate and control all life in Narnia by keeping humans under her thumb through fear and manipulation. By capturing them, she aims to eliminate any potential threats to her rule.
Father Christmas does not reappear in Narnia after "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" because Aslan has restored balance to the land, eliminating the eternal winter imposed by the White Witch's curse. With peace restored, there is no need for Father Christmas to return to Narnia.
