Matthew 28:1-2 says Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to "see" the sepulchre. That's when there was a great earthquake for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it. In Mark 16:3 they asked themselves "who shall roll away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?" and when they looked they saw that the stone was rolled away. Luke 24:2 says they found the stone rolled away. In all three scriptures, the woman waited until after the sabbath was over, and very early the next morning they were going to bring their spices and ointments to the sepulchre without regards to whether or not the stone would be in place or if they themselves needed to get someone to move it. Either way, they were getting into the tomb.

Because they wanted to.

Surely someone in your family has visited a cemetery even though they don't let you dig up the body and play with it.

How did Jesus get out of the cave?

In Matthew's Gospel, the women came to the tomb and watched as an angel moved the stone that blocked the entrance to the cave. The angel told them that Jesus was already gone, but did not say how he left the tomb. The other gospels say that the stone was already moved when the women arrived, so Jesus could have walked out at any time after his resurrection.

Who found Jesus burial site?

For some three centuries after the time of Jesus, there was little interest in identifying any holy sites or artefacts associated with Jesus. However, during the reign of Emperor Constantine, his mother, Helena, went to Palestine to look for evidence of Jesus. She claimed to have discovered the site of his crucifixion and burial, as well as the 'true cross' and other discoveries. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is built on the site that Helena claimed to have been the burial site of Jesus.

Did Jesus tell Mary Magdalene to tell Peter he had risen?

Matthew's Gospel: An angel came down and sat on the stone, and told the women that Jesus had risen. Mark's Gospel: A young man inside the tomb told the women that Jesus had risen. Luke's Gospel: Two men inside the tomb, presumably angels, told the women that Jesus had risen. John's Gospel: No one told the women that Jesus was risen. Mary Magdalene went to the tomb alone, but when she saw that the stone had been moved, she ran back and told the disciples, apparently without looking inside. After Peter and the 'disciple whom Jesus loved' had visited the tomb and found it empty, Mary saw Jesus himself.
