The Yamassee that are in South Carolina today are originals and some from North Florida, from the Hitchiti Stock of Yamassee called Miccosuki .These are descendants of Aripuka Hadjo aka Sam Jones, Chief Se`khu Hadjo Gentle is a relative of Sam Jones, while others in Florida (Oklawaha Yamassee) are related to the South Carolina Yamassee as descendants, of Coe Hadjo (Harjo) cousin to Mico Sam Jones.
