well, George kills Lennie because he is afraid that he will get into more trouble if he's on his own (George cant go with Lennie anymore because he just causes harm to other people) and he wants to kill him, not curly. Curly wants to kill Lennie because Lennie killed Curly's wife and George wants to kill Lennie because he doesn't want a stranger to do it. Like candy said 'I shouldn't of let no stranger kill my dog, I should of done it myself' ... :)
Mice
--
Lennie killed mice that his Aunt Clara gave him when he was a child.
He also killed his pup who tried to bite him. As a result, he shook it and broke its neck.
In the end, Curley's wife gave him permission to stroke her hair to let him feel how soft it was. She quickly complained about how he was messing up her hair, and Lennie got scared. When Lennie gets scared, he holds on to stuff really hard, such as Curley's wife's mouth to stop her from screaming. As you can imagine, people don't live too long when they can't breathe.
As much as I wanted to hate George for killing him, I couldn't. He wanted so badly for Lennie to have a happy and long life but he was too destructive to himself and those around him. George knew he would be better off this way.
Lennie accidentally kills Curley's wife, Mae, in "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck. He does so in a moment of panic and confusion caused by not understanding his own strength.
He accidently killed Curley's wife by stroking her hair too hard. She panicked, and then Lennie panicked too, ending up suffocating her and breaking her neck.
George shoots him in the back of the head with the same gun that was used to kill Candy's old dog

Lennie Small, a mentally disabled ranch worker, is the character who dies in "Of Mice and Men." George Milton, Lennie's close friend and caretaker, makes the difficult decision to end Lennie's life to spare him from a potentially violent and painful fate at the hands of others.
Lennie Small .
One pun from "Of Mice and Men" could be: "When George turned to Lennie and said he wanted a new pair of shoes, Lennie replied, 'Don't worry, George, we'll just have to hop to it!'"
