the soldiers wanted to kill her but i don't know why?... and they tried to gas her in the house of her own bathroom but that didn't work so they sent a soldier and he struck at her 3 times (her head was only half severed) and she lied in her own blood for 3 days until her soul finally left to heaven.

She was executed for being a Christian. She and her husband had a ministry that provided proper burials for other Christians who were martyrs for the faith. The Roman officials did not like this. They arrested and killed her husband and next turned their anger on Cecilia. The first attempted to kill her by suffocation in a sauna but she was unaffected. The next they tried to behead her but were unsuccessful. However, she was mortally wounded and died a few days later.
