As far as we know, the ripper killed 5 prostitutes and there was a double event which one could not be a ripper killing. So apart from being a prostitute and drunk in the early hours of the morning, the chances of being attacked by the ripper are minimum.

Police agency that hunted Jack The Ripper?

Most of the murders were in the juridiction of the Metropolitan Police, which included all areas of London except for the one square mile in the middle of London which is refered to as the City. With the murder of Katherine Eddows the Ripper crossed that line and her murder was investigated by the City Police. As with all things Ripper, there was internal strife and bickering, which I'm sure worked for the killer instead of against him.

What number murder was Mary Jane Kelly of Jack the Ripper?

For many years it was believed the Mary Kelly's murder on November 9, 1888, was Jack The Ripper's last murder. This simply is not true. A prostitute named Francis Coles was murdered in Whitechapel in 1891 who is now also thought to be killed by JTR. It is also most likely that Mary Ann 'Polly' Nichols was not the Ripper's first victim. At the very least Martha Tabram, who was found murdered several weeks before Nichols, was the Ripper's also. If this is true than Kelly would have been the Ripper's sixth victim, not the fifth.

What was Jack The Ripper's achievement?

He got away with murder. That't it.
