She was held hostage for 4 years and WAS NOT a peacemaker. That story comes from Smith in his book and he lied. While a hostage she converted to Christianity and changed her name to Rebecca. When John Rolfe came to Jamestown with tobacco seeds he met her and they married. Soon after she married him they left for England where they had a baby boy. Not long after arriving she died in England and her son was left her sister-in-law.
