In Genesis God created the world in 6 days right? It's a little known fact that the day on which God rested was actuallySaturday the Sabbath (I only learnt this through AS level philosophy) This why people worship on Saturday.
Christian's worship on a Sunday because in the New Testament only 9 of the 10 commandments are listed. The commandment about the Sabbath is not mentioned. Instead Jesus said he is the Lord of the Sabbath Matthew 12:8 "For the son of Man is the Lord of the Sabbath
Jesus is our rest. This means when we worship him it is our Sabbath For most people this is a Sunday, but not all people can worship on a Sunday so worship at some other point in the week. It's like bending the rules, but not breaking them.

Hope this is of help =]

Catholic AnswerThe Old Testament Biblical Sabbath is on Saturday. Already in apostolic times (Acts 20:7) Christians transferred the Sabbath from the seventh to the first day of the week. This is covered in the Catechism under paragraphs 2175-2176, and 2190. St. Ignatius of Antioch in Ad Magn 9:1: (Sources Chretiennes (Paris: 1942)) says: "Those who lived according to the old order of things have come to a new hope, no longer keeping the Sabbath, but the Lord's Day, in which our life is blessed by Him and by His death.

2176 The celebration of Sunday observes the moral commandment inscribed by nature in the human heart to render to God an outward, visible, public, and regular worship "as a sign of His universal beneficence to all." (St. Thomas Aquinas, STh II-II, 122, 4.) Sunday worship fulfills the moral command of the Old Covenant, taking up its rhythm and spirit in the weekly celebration of the Creator and Redeemer of His people.

Because they only follow Old testament and that they don't believe that Jesus Christ was born long time ago. Jews are similar to these type of Christians.
