Because the book of Revelation is addressed to the "church"... the "servants of God":

"This is a Revelation from Jesus Christ, which God [the Father] gave Him concerning the events that will happen soon. An angel was sent to God's servant John so that John could share the Revelation with God's other servants." (Rev.1:1 NLT New Living Translation)

"Don't you realize that whatever you choose to obey becomes your master? You can choose sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God and receive His approval. Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you have obeyed with all your heart the new teaching God has given you. Now you are free from sin, your old master, and you have become slaves[servants] to your new Master, Righteousness... now you are free from the power of sin and have become SLAVES [servants] OF GOD..." (Rom.6:16-22 NLT).

Not just verses 1 thru 4 of the book of Revelation... but the ENTIRE BOOK of Revelation... and the whole Bible for that matter, is talking TO and ABOUT God's church. It's telling God's church what is about to happen, not only to them, but to the whole world.

"I, Jesus, have sent My angel to GIVE YOU THIS MESSAGE FOR THE CHURCHES..." (Rev.22:16 NLT).

The church of God didn't stop with the writing of the book of Revelation. God's church, the Body of Christ, like His Living Word, has continued down through the centuries, being regenerated, fed and nurtured by the Living God.

It's a timeless message that's relevant to all of God's Children for all Eternity.

Is the pope is the best person to decide what christians believe?

The pope is the best person to believe what the 'Catholics' should believe but not necessarily what ALL christians should believe. It really is a matter of personal opinion. The Pope acts as a connection between all Catholics/Christians on earth and to help them to lead a good and fulfilled life so he knows what he is talking about.

Is Christ a Christianity or Islam?

Answer 1:Jesus is recognised & believed in both Islam & Christianity but the way of belief is different. Christians believe in Him as a God or a son of God while He is a great prophet in Islam. Christians believe in His crucifixion while Muslims believe that He was saved by God & was not crucified. Both believe in His virgin birth, His miracles like talking in the cradle & raising dead, His ascension to the Heavens & His return to the world.Answer 2:well "christ" is a christian word that means messiah, Islam do not believe in Jesus as a "christ" however, they do believe in Jesus as a profit. Jesus himself was Jewish, he went to the temple, celebrated passover and all the other usual things for a Jewish boy/man of his time. along with some unusual things witch is why he was crucified. but ( Christians believe ) he ros from the dead and, after appearing to his disciples, ascended into the skythen ( Christians believe ) the holy spirit came and He started Christianity.
