It's just the manufacturer (the company that builds the cars) build them porely so they always break down. I think they do that so people would buy more cars or pay them to fix it for them.
Alot of the rental car companies, carry a ton of GM cars, but lately GM can not meet the demand so the companies had to look at other car makers. Plus GM wanted to raise the prices.
Gm has Been making Cars in Mexico Since 1932. This according to their website. They have 6 plants in Mexico, making the so called American car. Th lemonlaw sites show the reality of a GM made auto or truck.
GMC does not make cars, only trucks and suvs. GM is the parent company over GMC, Chevy, Buick, Cadillac, etc. So far from my experience the trucks are solid, however I no experience with GM cars made after 1964.
Oldsmobile is a GM car sharing identical parts with all other GM cars, from Chevrolet to Cadillac, so is on equal ground with all GM cars with regard to quality, and dependability. GM cars are the among most dependable cars in the world, and are the easiest to service, and the best as far as ready parts availability. This coming from an independent master mechanic with a lifetime of experience. I have found that a majority of mechanics agree with this.
Saab belonged to GM during this model year...so yes, GM made those cars. They made them in the Saab factory in Sweden.
not 100% butl 1980 or so till 92 camaro careful if u buy a tranny outta these cars
it's so much the law as it is the government.... basically the government bailed GM out so they can pretty much do what they like with the company.
You must take it to a locksmith that is capable of doing 12 or 13 GM cars, or a GM dealer because the ability to do it yourself has been removed by GM so they can charge you for it!
70% of all GM vehicles are not made in the U.S. So 30% are built here but some of the engines, transmissions, and other parts are made in other countries.
Re new: HHR for sure / Cobalt / G5 are same tranny, so should be ok as well.
Yes and no. From 1989 till 2010 Saab was owned by GM so the NG 900 used the a GM platform and the GM V6 engine, the Second generation of 9-3 was also used GM engines. The 9-5 also is based on GM cars but Saab has been sold to Spyker now so the new 9-5 wagon will be the last Saab developed under GM with the replacement for the 9-3 in 2012 being the first independently developed Saab in about 25 years.
Is the commercial your referring to is the one that has a collection of gm cars and at the end says it's shiny, it's blue and it's beautiful (GM LOGO)? If so the singer is (insert drum roll here...) Brandi Carlile, and the song is titled "The Story."
