Why do Harry Potter fans say that he died when he didn't?

In one of the final scenes of the book, Harry is hit by the Killing Curse and apparently dies, and then returns back to life.
It can be debated whether Harry actually died or not, but certainly eventually he survived.
Essentially, one can argue that in a way a part of him does die, that is the part that is a horcrux, the bit of Voldemort's soul that is within him, so he does die a kind of death, just as Voldemort did. Harry is bound to life by Lily's protection and her blood lingers in Voldemort's veins after he took Harry's blood in the Goblet of Fire.
Fans also say he died to people who have not read the book, as a joke. I say it to my fiance all the time, so that when the movie comes out, he'll be surprised. He technically does sort of die, sort of goes into Limbo, whatever, but it's funny to see people's reactions when I tell them that Harry dies, without going into detail about the circumstances. Serves them right for not taking the time to read the books.
he does die and is givin a choice as to stay or come back if he had stayed he would have gone on with dumbuldore into the spirt world and his body would have been dead on the forest flour but he comes back so he dies and is reborn he has to die as he is the 7th horcrux
