Has anyone in your mom or dad's family had green eyes, because you could have gotten it from your grandparents or great grandparents. if not, it has been a recessive trait in both your mom and dad.

Green eyes and blue eyes are caused by the same gene. The amount of melanin in the eye determines the eyes color.

Naturally a child or even children don't have the same color of eyes than their parents... Your eyes may have transferred gene by genes by other earlier relatives.
