Jacob and the Cullen family do not try to kill Renesmee. In fact, they are very protective of her because she is Bella and Edward's daughter. They want to keep her safe from the Volturi and other threats that may arise due to her unique vampire-human hybrid nature.

Jacob wanted to kill renesme because by being born, renesme killed the girl he loved more than anything, Bella xxx~Also, he thought that Renesme was a "monster". They only reason he didn't kill her before was because she was inside Bella, and he would have to kill Bella to kill the baby.

Does edward like Jacob around Bella?
No Edward doesn't and Jacob doesn't like being around Edward either because the Cullen's have a treaty with the werewolfs not to kill humans. Plus Edward can read Jacob's mind and so he knows he has feelings for Bella.
