Many people in Korea travel by train (sometimes not necessarily by train, there is the subway, and bus services and also the KTX) because it is a fast efficient system to communte to work and other places. It is cheaper than taking your own car, much better for the environment and also it is much FASTER as the amount of people in Korea are millions and the traffic sometimes can get really heavy.
