"Allah" is the Arabic word for God. There is no difference in understanding of what the word means - that of the Creator God. Muslims DO believe in Jesus but they do not accept Him as being God. He is understood by Muslims to be a major prophet of God, and is revered by Muslims as equal with Moses and Muhammad.
Say ye: "We believe in God, and that which hath been sent down to us, and that which hath been sent down to Abraham and Ismael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes: and that which hath been given to Moses and to Jesus, and that which was given to the prophets from their Lord. No difference do we make between any of them: and to God are we resigned."
(The Qur'an, Sura 2:130 [Rodwell trans.])
This is matter of opinion. exactly the same reason that they believe in god. They believe what they are told by their parents or come to that conclusion them selves. Different people would answer this question differently. For example one persons answer could be that people start of their life looking up to their parents and rely on their guidance, when that leadership is gone then they need some thing else to take its place so they use the idea of a God to do this. Another reason can be that it is an easy and simplistic way of seeing your place and that of every thing else in the universe. but I am cynical about religion and perhaps others should also give their answer to this one.
Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet and that he was sent to heaven. But, Muslims believe that Jesus wasn't killed on the cross. Instead, God (Allah) made one of the Jews who wantde to kill Jesus look like him so they killed him instead! So eversince, Jesus has been in heaven. He is not the son of god. He is only a prophet trying to spread the word of Allah.
In the Quran, there is a complete chapter titled 'Maryam' (Mary) that confirms Maryam virgin birth. Jesus was born as miracle by the word and command of God "be" then "it is". This command is, as said in Quran, the same command that had brought Adam into being with neither a father nor a mother. God has said in Quran:
{The case of Jesus with God is like the case of Adam. He created him from dust, and then He said to him, "Be!" and he came into being.} (Quran, 3/59)
Muslims believe that during the prophetic mission of Jesus (peace be upon him), Jesus performed many miracles. God tells us that Jesus said:
{I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you the shape of a bird out of clay, I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by God's permission. I heal the blind from birth and the leper. And I bring the dead to life by God's permission. And I tell you what you eat and what you store in your houses....}(Quran, 3/49)
Muslims believe that Jesus was not crucified. They believe that the enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) plotted and planned to crucify Jesus. However, God miraculously saved Jesus and raised him up to Him (to God). God, the all Powerful and the all Capable, put the likeness of Jesus (peace upon him) over another man. The enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) thought that the this other man is Jesus and they took him and crucified him. God has said: {...They said, "We killed the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God." They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but the likeness of him was put on another man (and they killed that man)...} (Quran, 4/157)
The generally accepted Muslim view is that Jesus is still living in the body in the Heaven and that he will appear just before the Final Day , after the coming of the Mahdi, when the world will be purified of sin and unbelief. There will be a final death before the final Resurrection.
The Qur'an specifically says that Jesus was not a divinity and therefore Muslims believe it. Furthermore, Muslims hold that several lines in the New Testament that allude to or directly state Jesus' divinity (including Mark 3:9-12, 5:7, 9:7-8, 13:36, John 1:32-34, 3:16, 5:17-30, 10:30, 10:36) are all forgeries and corruptions of the original gospel. They, therefore, have no need to address the claims of Jesus being God because all of those claims that are attributed to him are done so falsely.
Muslims believe that there is one God, Allah. Because they do not believe that God had a son, they recognize Jesus Christ as a lesser prophet of God, but nothing more.
Yes the Muslims do agree that Jesus is a prophet , but not the son of God.
The main conflict in beliefs is that most Christians believe in Jesus as God or son of God while Muslims believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) as one of the greatest prophets and Muslims don't believe in Jesus as God or son of God.
The Muslims recognize Jesus as a prophet. They do not believe he is the son of God or that he was resurrected.

Some Christians believe that Jesus is God or son of God. Muslims believe in God (or Allah) as the one and only one God with no partner, no companion, no son, no father, no associate, and no equivalence.
The major difference is that Christians believe that Jesus is/was God, while Muslims believe that Jesus was a Messenger of God in the same order as Moses.
Christians, of course, believe in Jesus but some of them believe that Jesus is son of God or God.Jews don't believe in JesusMuslims believe in Jesus as one of the greatest God prophets and Messengers. They don't believe that Jesus is God or son of God as some Christians do. Refer to related question below for more information.
Saudis are Muslims, and Muslims believe in god. They call him Allah. They believe that he is the same god Christian and Jewish people believe in. Except, Muslims don't believe that Jesus is the son of god, they think of him as a profit just like Mohammed.
A:Christians believe that Jesus is the divine Son of God. Muslims believe there is only one God and that Jesus was a human prophet and not in any way divine, although they accept that he will return to earth to usher in the Day of Judgement. On this much there can be no compromise - either Jesus is divine or he is not. Given that there can be no compromise, either Christians must give up their belief in the diinity of Jesus, or Muslims must give up their belief that there is only one God with no son. Neither alternative is likely.
Muhammad and Jesus are not similar. But the the Christan God and Muhammad are similar because Christians and Muslims believe in the same god. Jesus is mentioned in the Bible and the Qumran In the Bible he is the son of God. In the Qumran he is a prophet. So Christians and Muslims believe in the same god. They are similar in that way. Jesus and Muhammed not so much. Christians believe God created the world. Muslims believe the same. The Bible says Jesus is the son of God. The Muslims say he is a prophet. Hope this helps you understand!
They are both religions. They believe in a different God. No, they believe in the same God but do not consider him as having three distinct persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus is considered as only a prophet by the Muslims and not the Son of God.
Mainly,Muslims believe that Jesus (PBUH) is one of the great prophets and God Messengers. Most Christians believe he is God or son of God.Muslims believe that Jesus was not crucified but lifted bodily by God Miracle to the Heavens. Christians believe he was crucified.Muslims don't believe in Jesus as the savior and believe that every one is responsible of his own deeds in front of God; the Creator. Christians believe that Jesus is the human savior of human sins.Refer to related question below.
