The reason is because of the fasten muslims did all year and it to donate money to poor to help them and it also to celebrate of how god is important and how Muhammad Salah alihi wa salam created this speacial holiday
hi and asalamalikum .. well after taking fast of 1 month god has mentioned in quran that u can do eid for 3 days ..going relatives homes .. and if a son is not talking to his dad or friend is not talking to friend then eid is the day when they can talk to each other i mean they have to go to each other and apologize for their mistakes so therefore we have to spend 3 days of eid wid happiness
Eid Al-Fitr is the holiday that is celebrated after we finish fasting the month of Ramadan. It is a way of recognition and 3 days of fun showing that we have finished fasting the full month of Ramadan.
Its kind of a story but I'll tell you.
One day Allah told one of his prophets to cut their child's head off so the prophet went to do it.When the prophet done it it didn't work so he tried and tried but it didn't work so he just stopped and in the end it ended up that Allah was just testing him to see what he prophet would do.So we have Eid al fitr to remind us about this story.P.S i might not be exactly correct but the chance is 95% plus salamo3alaikom to all Muslims
