It's probably going to be difficult for you to find any non-Jew who's in a position
to speak for all non-Jews and answer your question.
As a Jew, I can't even speak for a single non-Jew. The best I can do is speculate.
Perhaps the words "Jew" and "Jews" have been so consistently used throughout
history with hateful connotation and for hateful purposes that any educated or
reasonably moral non-Jew feels some discomfort in the utterance.
It's just an idea. I could be wrong.
