Because only game cock breeders offer the care that these birds need. They can never be housed together, they must always be kept separated. If one game cock is put in the same room as another rooster, they will kill each other. These birds are not taught to fight, they just fight, like Chinese fighting fish. The amount of space and time and care that it takes to raise these birds is not something that the humane society or any one else will ever give to these birds. They are better off left with their breeders. IMHO.
PETA is one, the Humane Society is another.
yes she gives donations to the humane society and peta
The Humane Society, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Michael Vick.
Yes Carrie Underwood is in PETA. She wouldn't support their views and wear their clothing items if she didnt! Not in my opinion any way. Carrie Underwood works with many PETA campaigns and is a supporter of PETA, however most of her animal rights work is done with the Humane Society of the United States.
You can call the humane society, people for the ethical treatment of animals also known as PETA. Maybe the county or state government might have a department you can call.
PETA does not run local humane societies. They do not adopt out animals, or even support animal ownership. PETA does not support the production of meat or other animal products. PETA does not represent the views of mainstream animal welfare.
It depends on who you're asking. Legally, you are expected to provide your animals with a semi-clean, roofed area where they can be protected from the elements. Not complying will usually cause unrest with the humane society, PETA, angry neighbors, etc.
You can call PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), the Humane Society, ASPCA, or get a video of it and send it to the news with your story concerning the police department's lack of interest.
A number of charities are involved in campaigning for an end to dog fighting. All of these charities provide information on how volounteers can help support their campaign. There are local campaign groups as well as national and international charities such as The Humane Society, The League Against Cruel Sports and PETA.
PETA spends much of their donations on lobbyists to fight for an end to the pet trade (see S 737 and HR 2811).
That, unlike the "welfare" organizations HSUS and the ASPCA, humane slaughter exists and is very effective at dispatching an animal as quickly and effectively as possible. Temple Grandin is, basically the founder of humane slaughtering methods and creating methods to better handling and effective means of slaughtering cattle with very little stress and discomfort to the animal. Beef producers support their industry, as do the organizations that they would be a part of. In no way are they going to indict and accuse their own industry of being unable to carry out with humane slaughtering methods, nor condone it as "non-existent" as the HSUS, PeTA, MFA, and other animal-rights organizations often and openly do.
Peta is 1015.
