Because America is a democracy and everyone here knows that having a weaker federal government gives them the right to complain about their president. Besides staging a coup would be redundant seeing as every president has to get re-elected or booted every four years.

Why is Egypt's military coup not a coup?

Answer 1because the coup is really a coup when the army takes over the country , but that didn't happen , and now Egypt has an interim President and a liberal government , and the Egyptians are waiting for the election to choose their parliament and their president people call it a coup just because the army helped the people to remove a dump president who was not even qualified to be a president of a major country in the middle east like Egypt the people had no water , no power , no fuels , NOTHING so they went to streets in demonstrations was considered to be the biggest all over history ( over 33 millions ) if the army didn't help them , there would be a civil war in Egypt and fortunately he helped themAnswer 2It's a coup ! in all political science books , what happened in Egypt is a coup , it might be accepted by some of the people but it still a coup , the military took over power from elected president , and later the head of military became president of the country, supporter for the coup may argue that this is not a coup , but that doesn't change the facts. What makes 25 January 2011 revolution not a coup is that people who revolt against none-democratic president and there were no other ways to change him but revolution and also the Army didn't take him out of office he just stepped down .but in that coup July 2013, there were so many ways to change president like ( elections ) as a main way for that and it was available and fair.
