Your car is faulty. DO NOT drive it - take it to a qualified mechanic to be fixed.
Check the brake light switch on the brake pedal
Under the brake pedal is a brake light switch that when you press the pedal it hits it and makes your lights come on..sometimes when they get weak the pedal depresses them simply from the weight of the pedal and they stay on..Have a friend get inside the truck and pull UP on the brake pedal as you look at the lights..if the brake lights go off when they pull up on it..then it is that switch under the brake pedal
If all the fuses are good, then most likely the brake light switch right on the brake pedal inside the car. Check that.
With all lights turned off, have someone step on the brake pedal. The bulb that illuminates is the break light bulb.
brake light switch is above the brake pedal under the dash
Check the switch adjustment on the brake pedal arm.
its probably not a fuse at all, but it could be your brake light switch. its under the dash hooked to the pedal. I had to replace one on my 84 t-bird
check the fuse, brake lights have their own, & check the brake switch at the top of the brake pedal
check fuses, check brake light switch behind brake pedal.
BAD BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AT TOP OF BRAKE PEDAL
Please re-phrase your question; it appears you are saying the brake lights come on when you push the brake pedal and the lights are working (normal operation). If the lights are staying on after you release the pedal, then the problem is with th brake light switch (sticking). Thanks Malcolm
Fuse 7 controls the brake lights. It should be a red 10amp fuse.
