Cycle the emergency 4-way flasher switch on and off a few times. If it doesn't clear up you may have a faulty signal switch.
Check all of your turn signal bulbs. One of them may be burned out.
Check all of your blinker lights. There are two in each tail light, one in each center signal, and one at the corner of each headlight, a total of 8 lights should blink when you have the flashers on. If a bulb is burnt out, it will increase the blink rate. Also, installing LED's in the tail lights will cause the blink rate to increase.
Maybe a short somewhere...did you replace the flasher unit? No - it was blinking spuradically(?) - now I have to blink it manually and it won't blink at all with lights on.
Some kind of kinky screw up in the wiring system.
my daughters 1991 miusbishi montero has no break lights , turn signals or hasard lights . All tail lights and front markers are working. All fuses are cking good and all bulbs are good..Is my blinker switch bad ? capri
A. check and make sure all the bulbs are working. B. someone may have replaced the blinker itself with a aftermarket one that blinks at a diff rate.
First, check all of the bulbs. If one of the blinker bulbs in burnt out it will cause it not to blink on the side where the bulb is located. You have a defective Flasher Relay. Located behind left side of instrument panel.
Try the blinker relay. My brother has a Honda that did the same thing and that's all it was. Should be just a plug in relay switch.
Defective Flasher Relay. Replace it.
