Why do animals have camouflage?
They have camouflage so they can be hidden from
They camouflage themselves to prevent from being seen by their predators or prey, so that they can avoid from being eaten or catch their prey.
Different types of animals use camouflage! Some insects as well use camouflage! For example, the stick bug looks as if it is a part of a tree. Frogs, chameleon ( it is a lizard that changes colors) and other colored animals use camouflage as well. Animals and insects use camouflage to protect itself from it's predators!
Camouflage is the process of blending into the background. It only works if the predator hunts by looking - animals who hunt by sound or smell are not fooled by camouflage! Many animals have color patterns which match the environment in which they live. If they freeze against this background, they blend in and are harder to see.
