Anti-social tendencies don't always improve. Someone who is introverted may be introverted their entire life, and there is nothing inherently wrong with that. A reason why some people may become more socially adept as they age is that typically, individuals become more comfortable with themselves as years pass, and therefore more confident about presenting themselves and socializing with others.
Another thing is that a true psychopath tends to lead a rather reckless lifestyle. In addition to which, chronic hostility keeps the body steeped in the more harmful of the stress hormones, and things that help other people add years to their lifespans -- having friends, having a pet -- mean little or nothing to a psychopath, a person with ASPD.
Eventually, usually before middle age officially arrives, a psychopath starts finally noticing the signs of unhealth. In addition to this, the approximate life-expectancy of a psychopath is roughly 50 to 55 years! For other people, it's close to 80.
ASPD is one of several names for emotional disorders in which the subject lacks empathy and conscience, and no regard for the rights of others. You can read more at the link below.

Antisocial does not mean shy. Antisocial means you don't care about people, and may be a criminal.
Antisocial Personality Disorder is found worldwide. It seems less common in countries and societies that have limited personal freedom, but it may simply be that more APDs in those societies find ways to fit in and stay out of trouble. Worldwide, approximately 2-3% of the population express APD symptoms, of which roughly two thirds to three quarters are men.
