Why do authors use vulgarities in their novels?

1. They have very low morals.
2. They think that it impresses people.
3. They think that it makes their characters appear tougher.
4. Because they have been misled into thinking that it is acceptable to curse.
5. They haven't yet mastered the English language and have to fill the voids with curse words.
6. Because they want to establish the truth behind every secret of each character and to make us realize that all mistakes that are considered as vulgarities can give us moral lessons about life and how to face every problem that we encounter everyday.
