Bees won't usually attack humans without a good reason because to do so means they will die.
A bee will only sting if it feels it or the colony is under threat. If a bee approaches you, the worst thing you can do is try to swat it away -- that is very threatening. Try to ignore it, make no sudden movements, and if it bothers you, walk away.
