That is a very true answer, but for African American women it is all about looking good. I'm an African American woman, and began cutting my hair at the age of 11, my reasons for cutting my hair was stress. My hair was so lovely and meant so much too me, but from the childhood abuse that I had gone through, I just didn't care anymore. Trust me, Most African American women go through so much of stress. Like going through a divorce, or getting a divorce. Most public places that I go to, all I ever hear black women say is, " I wish my real hair was long" if it ever grows back, "I won't cut it again. I don't care if a black female thinks that she look good with short hair, she should always know that her hair beautifies her and realize that God gave her that beautiful hair from birth. My real hair is now long, again, and I will never cut it any more. Black women wonder how can they grow their hair, well, 1st: Stop using chemicals and styling gels, 2nd: Donot blow dry your hair, dry heat causes breakeage to the hair, 3rd: If you have dandruff very bad, you donot want to use no hair sprays, hair sprays makes the dandruff much woarse. Time to grow that hair girlfriend! yes indeed! 1st: purchase a bottle of softsheen Optimum Oil Therapy, and Optimum shampoo, use as directed for preventing hair breakeage. 2nd: purchase a jar of sulfur 8 medicated scalp conditioner. I wash my hair once per week with Optimum shampoo, and after my hair dry on it's own, I squeeze a quarter amount of Optimum oil therapy moisturizer in my hand, and rub both hands together rubbing the moisturizer all over my hair. I then divide my hair into four sections with a large tooth comb, and use a heated pressing comb to straighten out each section, afterwards, I use the sulfur 8 conditioner by dividing my hair into very small sections, putting sulfur 8 conditioner onto my scalp of each small section. Make for sure to wrap your hair at night with a conditioner cap, this will hold the moisture inside your scalp. One good TIP: I never braid my hair, to me, braids causes split ends to hair and a lot of breakage. My best final Godly Tip: Pray for your hair to grow each day and night, it really works. God bless ya. Blessed37
