Sorry to tell you this but, you more than likely have a blown head gasket. Stop driving the car immediately or you will destroy the engine. This must be fixed in order for the car to be drivable.
I think you have a bad door switch. The car thinks that one of the doors is open.

Always use manufacturer's recommended oil where you will be guaranteed to have many more miles of smooth driving which is gentle on the engine which in turn will allow the engine to go on and on and on
The heat for the interior of your car comes from the heated radiator coolant. When you are driving down the road the water pump circulates the heated engine coolant. If the engine slows and the water pump isn't real efficient you might get cooling in the heater. When you turn off the engine you aren't getting warm water pumped into the heater.
When the car is parked in the location that you want it to be, and the engine is off and the shift placed in Park, pull the parking brake up as far as it will go and leave it there. Remember to release the parking brake before driving away.
If you do not repair the problem that caused the light to come on then it will never go off. If you repair the problem then remove the negative battery cable for 10 minutes and the light may go off. If it comes back on you did not repair the problem. If the light does not reset then the light will have to be reset with a OBD2 scan tool.
The check engine light comes on in a car when there is a problem with the engine. It will go off or be reset when the problem is fixed.

It is normal to boil when you turn the car off. When the coolant stops flowing, the coolant in the hot engine boils and pushes steam out of the engine. The recovery tank collects the excess and allows it to go back in when the engine cools.
