No.But they do eat it sometimes. My indoor cats play with the poop. It's boredom. once you give other reasons not to get bored (like more toys and bigger place to run around), they'll STOP doing that. If they don't stop even so, get a top-entry litter box. It's harder for them to bring and fling their poop about when they have to jump out of the litter box using top entry.
so people cant see it
because they like how it taste
Most do, a few don't.
I actually don't
They leave liquid waste, which is their way of scent marking, but they bury their solid waste to hide their location from other stalking animals. Domestic cats practice the same instinctive activity.
no. as long as your cat had accepted that they were dead and let you.
Cats poop in sand so that they can preserve it and eat it later. BIGsalamander
I doubt a cat would eat its own poop, but it definitely wont be happy. Cats are very picky when they don't have a clean place to do their business and bury it.

Why are you asking this question, you sick monkey?! Just kidding. Cats poop because of all the solid food they eat needs to leave their system. The same answer is for pee, but with liquids.
