Horses used to be wild animals. They were prey animals and had to be on alert. If they were laying on the ground while sleeping, and a predator came up to kill them, they would not be able to get up fast enough to get away in time.
the same reason we do! even though they can sleep standing up, they can also lie down for sleep or rest:) hope this helps!
Many veterinary science institutions believe that dogs do this so they, effectively, blast farts toward your face.
Horses roll on their backs to scratch. Just as you would rub your back against something to scratch if you didn't have hands.
they do that when they are afraid and want to be left alone

Why are you asking this question when you could be scratching its belly? The kitty compels you to do so!
Cats roll on their back to show you that you are the dominant in their relationship. That you are in charge and they like you. They also do it when they are happy.
hes probley having fun! rolling around and playing with his tail...i mean that's what dogs do:)
its basically the same as cats, the tiger will lower its head and sometimes even roll onto its back showing its belly to the more dominant animal
A domestic cat will roll over on it's back for a couple of reasons, a cats belly is a vunerable part and by exposing this they are expressing their trust of you, they also love to have their tummy tickled, they are asking for demanding some attention.
She'll get right back up and may either run away, or turn on you and send you flying. If you've got her mad enough she may even try to kill you. Unlike most urbanites think, a cow that is "tipped" is able to move her feet under her to get back up again. They are able to lay on their side, and roll back up to a sitting position with their feet tucked under them. Unless you have her in a ditch or gully where she cannot easily roll back to her side to get her on her feet again, a cow is always able to get back up after falling down--except if she broke her leg, pelvis, or dislocated her hip.
great white sharks roll there real eyes back and when they attack they turn blackThe eyes actually do not roll back, a protective membrane covers them making it look that way.
Depending on the species, some will die from starvation, predation or exposure. Others can easily tip themselves right side up.
Yes. It can roll onto its front and then get up.
I think you might be talking about a backwards roll which is basically a roll from crouching where you lean backwards onto your shoulder and your arms are straightened, and you end up standing.
So back of tire will roll onto curb
forward rolls are easy all you do is put both hands on the floor, when in squat position, in front of you and push, using your legs, your weight onto your neck then simply roll to your feet.... same as a Roley polly! xx
Winner stays on
all you do is go sit on the ground on your butt and then roll onto your back and up and when you first begin have a helper
it really depends what type of toilet roll holder you have but for most its this: take the little attach thingy out then swap the empty one for a full one and push it back in
Nope. It's very scary to look at especially when in the missionary position
You can't
Exactly as it's name suggests the fibre is cotton and it is laminated onto the back of roll or sheet Poly Vinyl Chloride
You make a sponge cake in a shallow baking sheet. When it is done, you turn it out onto a slightly damp towel and roll it up. Let it cool rolled up. When cool, unroll the cake, spread the jelly or jam of your choice on the cake and roll it back up. Put the end on the bottom of the roll, dust it with powdered sugar and you have a jelly roll.
If your roll bar is in the up position after you hit a bump or something like that, you only need to press and hold the switch(for the up and down position of the roll bar)pressed in for the up position for about 5 to 10 seconds. Doing this you reset the roll bar. After that the roll bar will work as normal Roger(Norway)
