They are familiar with the noise and have realized that they get food right after they hear the noise. So they respond.
Cats associate the sound of a can opener with the possibility of receiving food, which triggers their hunting instincts and motivates them to come running in anticipation of a meal. The sound has likely been consistently paired with positive experiences of being fed, creating a strong association in the cat's mind.
no(The cat isn't going to kill you until he can figure out how to use the can opener, then you're done for)Yes because cats think all people are threats. (They can get run over by cars and everything.)
All domestic cats can run up to 30mph. That would be ideal but larger cats such as lions could run up to 40 mph!!

They will run.
Cats normally do not run into things, but on occasion there are cats that are a little more "ditzy" and do run into things. Make sure your cat isn't blind because that may be a reason it is running into things.
It could very well run away.
From what I gather, a typical cost of an electric garage door opener is around $150. However, with installation, it could run you a total cost of about $350 or so.
Hi there I would say a hand opener is better as it is quicker and more reliable than an elctrical can opener. The elctric one also costs money to run any you have to plug it in before you can use it .Where as a manual one you just clip on and off you go. I Love Can Openers
