Objects appear in color because they reflect that color. Tree leaves appear green brcause they reflect green (and transmit green) so you know they don't need green light to grow. White lights contains all colors. A white object reflects most of them. A black object reflects very little light, so it appears black. Obviously with all that energy being absorbed, the temperature must rise, and that is true.
The object has absorbed light in the whole visible spectrum. For example, an object appearing blue in the white light has absorbed red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, and violet; but the blue light is reflected to your eyes.

If the light source is truly cyan, the red object should appear black. The object is red because it reflects the red portion of the white light spectrum. With no red wavelengths available to be reflected, the object will have a lack of color (i.e., black).
"Black" means "no light". That's why a dark room looks black at niight. If an object really looks black, then you know that it must have absorbed any lightthat hit it, because there's none left to bounce from the object into your eyes.
Black because it absorbs all the heat whereas white reflects the heat away so black is a better heat insulator. Help this helps :)
Matt white
it should do objects absorb all light except light of the colour of the object if there is no light of that colour the object appears black
White surfaces reflects light - black absorbs it
Light is really all the colors of the rainbow for example if and object is blue it absorbs all colors except blue so a white object would look white because it REFLECTS all the colors of the rainbow a black object looks black because it ABSORBS all the colors
white
BlackAll of the colours that make the white light shine down on the black object and all of the colours that make the white light the light absorbs into the object and no light reflects.WhiteAll of the colours that make the white light shine down on the white object and the light and no light is absorbed into the object but all of the colours that make the white light are reflected into your eyes
no light is reflected
A black object absorbs light- black is actually an ABSENCE of light. White, on the other hand, REFLECTS all colors- which, when blended, produces white.
If it absorbs ALL the colors, then it will be white (maybe also black). If light doesn't hit the object, it will be black.
i think its black or white
Most (or all) of it is absorbed.
Black Dries Faster Than White
Black will be the color of a yellow object in a dark room while white light falls on it.
yes
