I'm a Christian and i personally don't believe in the death penalty. This is because we as humans have no right to decide weather someone is beyond Christ's salvation. Th death penalty allows people to play God and that's not right. Jesus gives everyone forgiveness no matter what they have done and we as sinful people have to right to take that opportunity from them.
But some Christians believe in the death penalty because it says if a man takes another man's like then his life should be taken (that was loosely quoted). However these were different times and it was in order to get respect for God's laws.
As sinful and small humans, however, we have to way to truly understand God's reasons were though.

There is no specific way of holding a Christian funeral. Christians believe we go to heaven after death if we are a Christians so many don't call it a funeral where people mourn but celebrate the live the deceased had.
Several Christian denominations believe there is a life after death. Therefore, letting innocent people die isn't necessarily bad for them.

If a church believes that the Bible is true then it will believe in the resurrection. Also, since the resurrection is an essential Christian doctrine and the Christian faith is meaningless without it, you could not disbelieve it and still be considered Christian in any sense.
